About Vanityhelp

addressing hygiene poverty

VanityHelp is a global platform to address hygiene poverty. Hygiene poverty is the inability to afford hygiene essentials, such as shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and period products.

The platform consists of a website and a mobile app. It will:

  • Provide information on where to get the products
  • Show where and how to donate products
  • Raise awareness and educate on hygiene poverty
  • In the future, propose policy changes

THE TEAM

Ria- I am in high school. This project was started because of my Girl Scout Gold Award, and this cause is something I have been passionate about.

Sarah – I am in high school. I chose to participate in this project because I wanted to give to other people. I also enjoyed working with my friends on something we all believe in.

Zoey- I am in high school. I chose to be a part of this project because I wanted to help my community and it’s something I feel is an important cause.

Jinal- I am in polytechnic college pursuing my Diploma in Computer Engineering in India. I like programming and doing design work on ProCreate and hope to put my skills to good use for VanityHelp.

Shobha – I am a Program Manager in the BioTechnology Space with about 20 years of experience in various roles. VanityHelp is exciting to me because assistance for hygiene poverty has languished in the past and with this project, we are taking a long stride towards fixing this issue.
